These are some photos from our trip to Maine. We went back in October to write and record new music.(We did alot of actual writing, with pen and paper, which always turns into drawing and doodling for me). This past week we’ve been re-writing and re-recording the songs we started, so it seemed like a good time to reminisce…
Durkin @ Chez Vous:
I’ve been thinking a little about what it means to ‘post’ photos from a phone right now. Instagram filters and Facebook and all. No real insight at the moment but here’s another raw one from the phone tonite.
Made this one on the F Train this AM…Someone else made the advertisement and adorned this fellow with Le Stache Bleu.
I recommend the New York Times Magazine this week. Great stories and inspiring tales of the recently deceased.
Also: On the topic of ‘The Recently Deceased’, I watched ‘Beatlejuice’ a few weeks back….really cool use of ‘black’ and ‘white’.
As I was cleaning up this room at 102 Park lane, I found this tape that Chico Sonido passed to me in SF while we were out on tour with K$. I unearthed the dual cassette deck and listened this thing for about 3 hours straight. I would file this under ‘Recommended Listening’ a la Prince Klassen

From the Liner Notes:
‘Due to the lack of imagination in current Cumbia productions we at LaCaUsa wanted to share some of the rarest and wildest anomalies ever recorded in Cumbia to serve as an inspiration for further generations’
Audio for Terry’s interview with Trent Reznor is now available. (You can listen to three tracks from his new soundtrack here.)
I really enjoyed this show today. I listened to it as I did my loop from Mom an Dad’s house in Roland Park to Druid Hill Park. #whilerunning

Naeem ‘Spank Rock’ Juwan asked me to do a mini-mix for this record we’ve been touring the last 5 months… It’s his 2nd LP and is titled: Every thing is boring and.. (I forgot the rest of the boring title). Anyway it’s good, the shows have been going well, and we’ve been having a blast.
The mix was supposed to be 5 min. long, but signals got crossed and I made a 30 minute mix. The 5 minute version aired on the BBC this past weekend, and can be listened to and downloaded at The BBC Soundcloud .
